I cant believe my electric bill is only $16 a month. The decision to switch to solar energy has proven to be a great one! With the help of Sunsent Solar, I have successfully made the switch to solar energy, and are now able to benefit from all the advantages that come with using solar energy. I have managed to save a significant amount of money on my electricity bill, and have been able to make the switch without any issues.

Overall, Sunset was very good to work with. They had the best overall price and the shortest lead time for installation. I'd suggest giving them an opportunity to make a bid as they seem to have a lower markup than their competitors and their warranty is better. The 2 other companies that I had bids from did drop their prices in attempt to gain my business, but they were still higher than Sunsent. Also, Sunsent was very responsive whenever I had questions or concerns about the process. I had the panels for 21 days of the October billing period for which I only owed $21.21 and $10.40 of that is a minimum Ameren charge. My first full month was November and the panels returned a net 131kwH back to the grid and I was billed the minimum $10.40 Ameren Customer/Meter charge.

I got multiple quotes and went with Sunsent Solar to install an 11.5 kw ground mounted system to power our home and car. I was almost shocked at how professional the company was throughout the process, from the initial site visit, to the scheduling, to the post-install support. The managers were responsive to my texts and calls, and the installation crews worked hard. My project was tougher than most due to the ground mount and the distance from the house, but they bent over backwards to get it done well, and work through all the hiccups you expect during a big project like this. We just got our first electric bill since we turned on the system, and it was NEGATIVE (Ameren owes us money). Solar is still pretty expensive, no doubt, but after rebates from Ameren and the IRS, I figure it's like spending the price of a modest new car to get free electricity for the rest of my life. I'm definitely using Sunsent Solar when we're ready to install backup batteries.

Our experience with Sunsent has been outstanding. After initial contact, Brandon Pinkston followed up promptly with a specific design for our house, with three different inverter/panel options tailored to our particular situation - the other companies we contacted only gave us one panel/inverter option on a "this is what we sell" basis. Sunsent's price was competitive (actually, lower than two of our four estimates). The installation crew was efficient and professional; it took two days to install our 49 panels, and the crew cleaned everything up after work each day. They took the time to route wires through our attics (three of them, given the design of our house) so no conduit ended up on the roof and took care with the aesthetics of the installation (e.g., making sure the panels aligned nicely and that the layout looked good on our roof). Throughout the entire process, Brandon and Neil answered any questions we had within hours, and Nora kept watch on the Ameren Illinois web site to keep us updated about the PTO process. Our system has been working flawlessly for two months, producing about 15% more than their projections in both April and May. If you are considering solar, you simply can't go wrong with Sunsent.

Sunsent Solar was incredibly easy to work with! I highly recommend them for all your solar needs. John and Michelle felt more like family than sales in a business transaction. We felt like they had our back every step of the way. Their relationship with our electricity provider allowed us to get it turned on within a couple weeks of installation. John and Michelle were extremely responsive during the process. We never had to wait days for an answer. We are so thankful for Sunsent!

Great company to work with! John and Michelle were always available to answer my many questions. They never tried to sell me anything and were completely honest about the entire process. They even did a next day turnaround with an issue that Ameren raised (it wasn't an issue but they fixed it anyway). Sunsent even fixed the flashing that was torn away by high winds, no charge! Thanks Dustin, customer service still exists. My system was installed and running weeks before my neighbors who went with a different company, and they signed their contract long before I did. This company has earned my business and I've been telling everyone that's interested in solar to give them a call.

I spoke with multiple solar energy companies. Didn’t have the greatest experiences until I met Brandon with Sunsent Solar. He was upfront about ALL the details, benefits and programs available to me. He was more interested in what I needed than what he wanted to sell. Brandon’s honesty and personality were the main reasons I decided to go with Sunsent. He believed in his product, and proved it. After signing on, I was not disappointed with the rest of the crew. They had the Neal’s and ground mount installed in a matter of days. I had them upgrade my electrical panel and install an EV charger. There were some bumps along the way (as to be expected with big projects) but they went out of their way to make sure I was happy and to make everything right. Their head electrician, Shawn, is a top notch individual who kept in touch after the project was completed to make sure that everything was working as designed.
